The Canadian-made “virtual garage sale” is providing stiff competition to Craigslist. Here’s why:
1) VarageSale’s service is built for Mobile;
2) You can connect through your Facebook profile;
3) It was unintentionally designed by a Montreal couple frustrated by their experience with Craigslist while de-cluttering their home in anticipation of their new baby in 2009, i.e. made in Canada;
4) It has a friendly user interface and is now available in 42 states plus all of Canada.
Last but not least, 2 other sites looking to knock the king of E-commerce of his perch are OfferUp or Nextdoor. This spring think of using our own homegrown, more refined, E-commerce alternative, VarageSale, the “portmanteau” of virtual garage sales. Go Canada Go!
P.S. Will Twitter’s Periscope and Facebook’s Meerkat (live streaming app), both of whom have signed a MILLION plus clients in the last 10 days, become the new must have Social App of the decade?
