There have been several articles lately about the “Liberty Village Dog Poop War” which essentially indicate that Liberty Village was built up so fast that urban planning was somewhat null and non-existent. There are so many people in the area who own dogs, and not as many who have children. However, there is only a small park in the area and with the arrival of spring and warmer weather, it seems as though there are doggy land mines everywhere, and residents are very angry about it. The city is in works on trying to figure out a proper solution. One resident’s opinion is that it would be a great idea would be to convert the vacant lot sitting at Strachan Avenue and East Liberty Street into another park or green space. What are you thoughts?
