Hallelujah!!!
Will this mean that at long last Go Transit will substantially enhance service along Highways 10 & 50? (i.e. proper bus shelters, with bike racks & displayed time arrivals).
These simple, affordable measures would surely encourage more ridership.
Just think 45,000 plus people work at or near the airport, it is estimated that nearly 2/3 rider’s live in the North Peel or South Dufferin regions.
How many community College & University students could save tens of thousands of dollars by taking advantage of this enhanced service, by commuting from home? Surely increased ridership would be a bonus in reducing the traffic chaos we face every weekday morning along our major arteries.
The attached article better documents, the political requirements to make this, “the better way”, a living reality for the citizens of Caledon, Dufferin & Wellington. The Citizens of Caledon deserve far more than the mediocre public transport that is pander in our direction. (i.e. Green metal tags hammered to a telephone pole does not constitute a bus station, nor does service that runs for 5 hours out of 24, just 5 days of the week).
Now is the time to reach out, in effort to reduce pollutants and help save more lives along highway 10 & 50. Please refer to our past articles for proof of the carnage that is beseeching our local roadways.
