BCE has evidently demonstrated that small initiatives can make a huge difference by raising public awareness about mental illness. Which effects 1 in 5 Canadians through their lifetime.
Sharing your Pet!
There are so many small things that can be done by all in making our communities more socially inclusive & economically robust..
For example, Pet owners know that their pet but particularly cute, well behaved dogs are a catch basin of emotions from all bystanders.
What if we encouraged our more senior neighbors to walk, talk or visit with our pets when we are out saving & conquering the world. This tiny step forward would greatly reduce social anomie & enhance community communications. Imagine that senior earning a couple of quid for walking your dog , along with Fredrick & Dianne`s Russian wolfhound, Ivanka; Simply scandalous. !
Lonely seniors are without question a massively overlooked rapidly expanding social enigma within our urban communities. Creating a need for this overlooked reservoir of knowledge, love and labour would be a formidable start to making our communities healthier, safer & more engaging.
Please keep in mind that everyone wants to be loved, including your pet. Now is the time to extend that hand of friendship, to your more senior neighbour and ask if they might be interested in helping walk, feed or visit your pet through the your busy work day or night.
Remember this January 25th date ” All we need is Love”!!
