The ‘Huffington Post’ comments that the city of Toronto has gone through several changes in the past few years. Particularly in areas where a majority or townhouses once sat are now surrounded by high condos. The concern is not that are too many people per square meter, or that the condominiums do not have the same personal charm as a smaller townhouse closer to the ground. The real issue arises when more when the snow melts and the carnage of winter is unveiled. Concerned residents say that there needs to be more waste dispensaries spread throughout the area. Since there is an increasing amount of condominiums being built within the area at this moment, the area will be facing ever more pressure related to waste management.
Another concern locals may be experiencing with the suspecting rise of pets, and pet owners in the area are the amount of not only green space, but visible green space. The city has tried relentlessly to save young trees and shrubs that are vulnerable to the constant showering of passing dogs. Not to forget, the amount of grass and turf that needs to be replanted every spring. Its’ no wonder why non-pet owners and pet owners alike have such an issue with the simple fact that there may just be too many dogs for such a tiny area without enough green space within. No doubt, with proper installation of working and abundant garbage disposal bins, a bridge to connect King West and liberty Village, and the development of multilevel dog parks, outdoors, for the public. Would result in a much better outcome than some more un-optimistic residents may have to say.
