The majestic Tall Ships are returning to Pier 8 – following their hugely successful visit back in the summer of 2013. You won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to witness the spectacle of 11 Tall Ships navigate the harbour in single file formation before docking at Pier 8. Prominent vantage points to watch the parade include Pier 8, Bayfront & Pier 4 Parks, York Boulevard Bridge, Burligton Canal and Fisherman’s Pier, Eastport Drive, Lasalle and Bayshore Parks in Burlington.
In addition to deck tours and harbour cruises, visitors will enjoy family-friendly and nautical-themed activities, music on the Waterfront Stage featuring great musicians from Hamilton’s thriving music scene, and a plethora of food vendors.
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Avro Lancaster will conduct multiple fly-overs of the Waterfront on July 1 between the hours of 11am and 2:30pm. Learn more about the visiting Tall Ships on our profile page. Check back regularly for additional information.
