Dear Highway 10 Commuters,
I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming Labour Day long weekend.
Over the past two weeks, our staff and appraisers at Accurate (Peel) Appraisals Inc have noted a significant increase in traffic volume and intensity along Highway 10. With the holiday weekend approaching, we anticipate even heavier traffic conditions.
We wish to bring to your attention the critical issue regarding the damaged light standard at the intersection of Highway 10 and Old Base Line. For the past 2.5 months, this vital infrastructure has been temporarily replaced with a substandard stand-in. [Photos attached for reference.]
Considering the daily flow of approximately 40,000 commuters, it is essential for the Ministry of Transportation to address this situation with a more robust enhancement before the change in seasons. Upgrading to a more permanent solution would be beneficial for safety and traffic flow. Improving this light standard would greatly improve safety and efficiency for all daily commuters and local residents.
The 40,000 daily commuters deserve a safer and more dependable infrastructure. In fact, require it. We urge prompt action on this matter. In the infamous words; Winter is coming.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Drive safe,
