Inglewood home owners will be delighted to discover that the eventual moving of a few speed limit signs will augment their home equity by approx.$3,000. Based on the hypothesis that the average village residence is worth approx. $600,000. Congrats !
The multitude of mostly 3 season cyclists, hikers & horse-riders will also be pleased to know that the speed limit will as promised be 40 km for approx. 1/3 of that northern stretch between the grange & old base line. The remaining 2/3rd`s is now posted at a more benign 60 km.
Now if demarcated Wider Road shoulders could be included in the next road repair schematic, all Citizens of Caledon would be better served.
The people of the headwaters region are truly blessed amongst & envied by many of the other major cities of the world. The 7 different interconnecting trails systems are an indigenous natural phenomena that should be preserved, beautified and promoted at every opportunity. These natural wonders make our town, peel region and the G.T.A wealthier & stronger by simply being here..
Special thanks to councillor Doug Beffort & Regional council person Barbara Shaughnessy for their unwavering support. We truly look forward to the signs being moved at least 150 yards northwards and not the paltry 30 odd yards in last summers belated, feeble attempt to appease those opposed to even modest safety changes.
Congrats to everyone in making our community safer. Will provide series of photos showing the before and AFTER. similar to lower Inglewood by the arena & park.
