Triple The Rail Traffic Inside 15 Years!

Posted on Posted in Caledon, Uncategorized

Well 2 years may sound like an eternity but that is just 24 months away.  Where and how is all this central-frugal public transport traffic supposed to be dispersed thru the hinterlands ? Faced with the reality that Bus stations are closing in Owen Sound, Collingwood,Port Elgin and parts in between. This has that clarion ring reminiscent of the false tingle in extremities suffered by amputees.

Where is the affordable long range plan to graciously fan people out from all those train stations that dot the Go lines? People with luggage are not like shadows that disappear as the sun sets. Taxi’s are an alternative but is this the Plan?

Is this going to a be a $50 billion boondoggle similar to our hastily closed($1 billion) gas plants … Time will tell but the taxpayers of Ontario deserve a full, point oriented explanation, especially those of us who call the 905, 519 & 705 areas home.

The time is at hand to Contact your local MPP, town or regional councilor. How our communities develop will be directly relatable to what type of transport infrastructure is implemented within the next 2 to 5 years. Now is the time to start  that verbal  exchange to assure all concerned that we get meaningful value added development within the beautiful hamlets,  picturesque villages and  friendly towns that proliferate thru the environs of the GTA.

May you and yours have a wonderful, safe Happy Thanksgiving.
